Hello fellow bloggers! The purpose of this blog is to collaborate with other teachers and professionals interested in the area of educational technology. In this day and age, computer usage is growing at an exponential rate worldwide. This is not only influencing how we use our time, but how we communicate, think and learn. As educators, it is important that we recognize this fact as we make decisions on how we educate our students.
I am quite a novice when it comes to any kind of technology. However, I do acknowledge it's importance. And, there is a lot to learn! However, for most of us, we joined the field of education because of our inherent life-long love of learning. Therefore, in educating our students, we must continue to stay current in terms of our own education.
Through this blog I hope to create an environment that fosters the sharing of useful and effective educational "tech tools." It is also anticipated that through collaboration, reflection, and discussion, we will gain insight from our collegues and peers regarding educational technology and teaching in the 21st century.
